Ride to lakes around Mumbai - 4. Shirgaon and Sinchan

In the short window between two Covid waves (I on a Royal Enfield and my nephew on a Kawasaki) we checked out the twin lakes of Shirgaon and Sinchanon on the outskirts of Mumbai.

Shirgaonlake is about sixty kilometers from Mumbai and can be accessed via the Western Express or Eastern Express highway. We went to the Western Express highway. Shirgaon Lake is popular among Mumbai bikers for riding there and having a nice swim in the lake. This lake is a popular hiking spot, so the earlier the better.

Shirgaon Lake

Sinchang Lake is thirty kilometers away from Shirgaon Lake, so it is best to visit both in one trip. This is the quieter of the two.

Xinchang Lake

Bring your breakfast, enjoy a meal in a beautiful lakeside setting, and take your trash with you.
