Glide like a bird - Travel Time Article

Glide like a bird

As the temperature in Mumbai rises, so does the desire to escape to a comparatively cooler climate.
When I looked up at the sky to plan something else, I saw birds climbing and gliding, and that inspired me to do something similar.
I spoke to a very kind person via google to their rescue and paragliding temple pilots a hundred kilometers from Mumbai.
The booking was made for a fun flight which was a flight with a licensed flight instructor and all I had to do was sit at the console and sit in the flight while the flight instructor took care of the rest.
The meeting point was in Kamchit, ten kilometers from Karla, so we decided to stay

At night at MTDC Karla, our flight will be adjusted depending on the weather conditions at night as the morning is not suitable for lightning.
So at 1500 we met our paragliding suits and then made our way to our starting point, up a nice narrow road ten kilometers. After parking in the exact spot, we walked to the venue for about five minutes. increases excitement

As we watched people adjust the slides, check the wind and generally get ready for the night's action. About ten of us signed up for the fun ride and were asked to gather for a quick briefing on what to expect. We were told the journey would take approximately ten minutes.

Payment is made after the ride. Who flies the assignment is determined by the operator based on factors such as wind, human weight, etc. Being on the heavy side gave me a chance to see others wake up before it was my turn. Here's a short video of the flight, although poor weather forced it to land below

Down the hill where we all started from.
Before I knew it I was hooked and falling 1,2,3...! This is funny I was armed with a GoPro to see what I saw and this is a modified version.

Now I know what it means to be "free as a bird". They meditate, cling to the ether, and soar and soar when beauty is but the wind and at peace with the world. This differs from flying a small light aircraft or other aircraft with the engine off. Paragliding is more like riding a bike than driving a car, but has the added benefit of blending in with the sounds of nature.
Perfect accommodation! Expertise!
There are many paragliding suits in Maharashtra and they all cost the same. After some searching I settled on Temple Pilots .
This is not another sponsor. I paid for the activity and I think it's worth every rupee.
The Funride fare is 3,000 Birr on weekends and 2,500 Birr on weekdays. Please check these prices with the operator.
