Panchgani
For me, Panchgani has always been a checkpoint or a place to walk through the strawberry fields and enjoy the breeze in the highlands.
Last month we decided to visit Panchgani, spend a few nights and enjoy all it has to offer.
Panchgani is famous for its boarding school where many parents from neighboring cities like Mumbai and Pune send their children to raise their children.
Panchagani is very peaceful compared to nearby Mahabaleshwar, so it is only visited by those who want to walk and listen to the birds chirping.
Enjoy delicious omelettes at Lucky Store & Bakery and parathas at Akbaralis or drive.
Enjoy a Parsi snack at the roadside Strawberry Inn restaurant in Rustam
Mahabaleshwar
One place not to be missed is Mapra Park on Mahabaleshwar Road. It is very
Beautifully maintained, you can visit the complex's beautiful chocolate factory and pick up fresh pumpkin and berry juice.
Whenever you are bored or want some fresh air, just walk in Tablelands.
If you like horseback riding, you can do that too, or if you want to ride a horse-drawn carriage,
Even that is possible! There are options for how you want to spend your time.
Then there is a shop that sells the famous delicious corn cakes
With fresh strawberries or ice cream! Paradise!
Panchgani holds me. See you again!! You should too!
We stayed at the Millennium Hotel, not on the main road but behind Tableland, but we liked its 'out of the way but there' location. There are several accommodation options to suit any budget.
Panchgani is only 95 km from Pune and 250 km from Mumbai by road. Pune and Mumbai are well connected nationally and internationally by air, rail and road.
