Glimpses of Udaipur
Udaipur, also known as the "City of Lakes", is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is the historical capital of the Mewar state of the erstwhile Viceroyalty of Rajputana. Founded in 1558 by Udai Singh II of the Sisodia Rajput clan, Chittorgarh was besieged by Akbar when he moved his capital from Chittorgarh to Udaipur. Its capital was a British princely state until 1818, and after the independence of India in 1947, the state of Mewar became part of Rajasthan.
In a short 2-minute video, I present to you some glimpses of this amazing city gathered from many photos taken during my travels ten years ago. Click on the link below to view. It is best viewed in full screen.
