Ride the Konkan coast
As summer drew to a close, I rode my Royal Enfield 500 Classic "Desert Storm" solo for 500 km along the Konkan coast of Maharashtra.
I started my trip at 6am on a Tuesday as it will be full of tourists spending the weekend at the beach to avoid accommodation issues along the way!
As usual, my first stop was Sai Snacks near Panvel for breakfast at Kandei Pohe, then
A refreshing hot cup of tea will get you to NH17 and Alibaug.
Alibag stopped a few minutes before reviewing the route details
Mr. Kumar XV . And he went to join Kashi in Rajapurivarf and Dighi Na in Janjiri Murud
Motorboat. It is a regular point for ferries to Janjira Fort and also to Digha.
When our boat stopped we were told to sit and wait while they brought the bike onto the boat. He walked in once
The boat bikes are attached to each other and to a post on the boat. It took us about 20 minutes to get around, then the bikes were loaded as soon as we got off. Loading and unloading process
Cycling on a boat was so horrible that I swore I would never do it again.
The drive from Digit to Harihareshwar via Divegarh and Srivardhan was a nice drive. is saved
I was lucky to have a wonderful dinner at "Om Shri" family in Harihareshwar. The staff is very nice and helpful. The room was clean, with a/c and a small toilet but a sink. He had to pay Rs 1600 for the room. The hotels/motels/houses along the route did not offer single rooms. I had to pay for two rooms with a slight discount.
After two hours of rest, we went to Harihareshwar temple and then to the beach.
Photo session at sunset.
The next day, at 9:00 am, he will take me by boat to the Bagamandala bridge (5 km from my home).
The banquet was at 9:30 a.m. On this boat, I was able to get on and off my bike
It was an awesome experience. Ganapatipule, Dabol, had 2 more ferry crossings before reaching Dapava and Taswalta Jagarh.
The drive to Ganapatipule was very scenic passing through Dapali and Guhagarh. Fantastic part
All these paths are from village to village by boat or over the hills! And there is hardly any movement. You are the owner of the road!
I am registered in the "Atharva" family in Ganapatipul. A room without air conditioning costs 800 gifts. Room and toilet clean. Only tea/coffee/bottled water available. You have to go out to eat.
They spent the evening visiting the temple and the beach. Due to the popularity of this temple, only the beach
There is a dump outside the temple. Too bad that responsible tourism is not instilled in our tourists.
The next day he left for Tarkarli at 7:30 a.m. and arrived at 1:30 p.m. He remained in the "Lisha" family.
1500 rupees per cottage AC. We had a great homemade fish thali and went as usual
Beach in the evening for a cloudy sunset.
A distance of 650 km is covered in 3 days on the entire coastal road from Mumbai to Tarkarli. It was a good trip.
Return to Mumbai from Tarkarli on the NH17, an 11 hour journey of 543 km with breaks for breakfast and lunch.
All in all a great trip!
