A memorable road trip - Part 3

Our short stay in the quiet surroundings of the OYO Rooms Hotel in Kathmandu was over and it was time to head back to Delhi via Gorakhpur and Agra. Luckily for us, the OYO room staff worked hard and learned for us that we didn't run into roadblocks and thus cleared the dirt we had to make our way out of our entrance. They also made us delicious sandwiches and fries so we could have breakfast on the way.


A light drizzle followed us until we left Kathmandu and soon found ourselves on the highway to Gorakhpur. This time we entered the highway which avoided us into Kathmandu. we


They sing until they reach a 14-mile (23 km) stretch that is being repaired. It took us 3 hours to cross


this "part" of the bad road. But this time the advantage was that we were prepared for a bad road.


and they were quite fresh because it was the morning of our trip, not like last time

We were looking forward to a good afternoon tea at the hotel that day.
We had lunch at Nepalese dhaba where we could see a nice walk and started reminiscing about the good times we had on our trip to Nepal, Nepal and now we are leaving.


Nepal. But seeing the 'Welcome to India' arch at the border made us all happy! After going through the immigration and customs formalities, we happily went to India and then to Gorakhpur. We spent a comfortable night in the same OYO Room Hotel where we stayed earlier and left for Agra very early in the morning.

After refreshing ourselves with tea, we both decided to visit Mehtab Bagh behind the Taj Mahal across the Yamuna river. He is very calm there, not shivering


Crowd and almost no noise pollution. I had a rare (for me) view of the Taj Mahal and happily went. Half an hour later, the guards started whistling and all the visitors were chased away. Somehow we got tired of Taja's beauty and went to Sadar Bazaar where the ScoutMyTrip team is.




Meet and taste the delights of Agrachat and Kulfi, followed by Mama Chicken and Mama Frankie.
For me, Mangokulfi was the hero of the night.
The next morning, after a delicious homemade Parath breakfast, we headed back to Delhi. The trip ended at the OYO office building with "thank you" and "nice to meet you" from all sides, we all made new friends and promised to keep in touch.
